'Beware
of the Dog' is a modern day interpretation of the famous mosaic recovered
from Pompeii. 'Cave Canem' was often depicted in mosaic in entryway floors
in Roman homes. This poodle is one my kids and I encountered and tried to
pet; we were rewarded for our efforts with a nasty little growl. We named
him Fang.
