REEVES ELEMENTARY, WOBURN, MA

I returned to Reeves School in June of 2010, and worked with students and art teacher extrordinaire, Marie LaCour on creating mosaics to compliment the large existing mosaic on the wall of the school's main vestibule. The theme is outer space and the BIG BANG ( no relation to BIG BANG MOSAICS!). A couple of new elements, some of the mosaics are bas-reliefs, and so were done in the direct method of laying mosaic. The use of colored grout emphasizes the relationship of the panels and creates a pleasing rainbow effect.
